Printmaking is a fine art process in which an artist creates an image on a matrix such as copper, linoleum, or wood, and transfers that image to paper or another surface through pressure. Traditional forms include relief printing (woodcut, linocut), intaglio (drypoint, etching, aquatint), and planographic printing (lithography). Additional methods include collagraphy, monotype and silk screen. Because each impression is pulled by hand and may vary subtly from the next, prints are considered original works of art rather than reproductions.

Very cool. At TPC we aim to meet printmakers where they are. If you’re a first-timer to the medium, we’ll show you the way. If you’re an experienced printmaker, come on in and carry on with your work.
