A watercolor monotype blends the beauty of two mediums: painting and printmaking. In this one day workshop we’ll explore various ways of making prints using watercolors and watercolor pencils. You can work washy and bold or tight and detailed, each approach yields unique prints. It’s magical watching the watercolors rehydrate and print onto dampened paper. If you have them, please bring any favorite watercolors or water media brushes, a selection of both will be on hand for workshop use as well.

No experience necessary. All materials included. Students can either bring a sketch to work from, work abstractly or use an image we have on hand to explore the medium.
