BIRDS AND BLOOMS!
New to relief printing? Or need a refresher class? Using birds and botanicals as inspiration, you’ll be introduced to the satisfying art of single-color linocut. You'll learn everything you need to carve and print your first block: transferring a design, carving with confidence, and pulling clean prints (using a 4 × 6 inch block) by hand and with the use of a press. We'll cover tool safety and technique, inking, registration basics, setting pressure on the press, and how to troubleshoot common problems.
No experience necessary. All materials included.
This workshop will take place at Triangle Printmakers Collective: 1002 Wake Forest Road, Raleigh, NC 27604
Participants will receive an email about a week out with more details regarding parking, directions, and details about the day.
